CARF annually accredits thousands of health and human service programs across the continuum of care, serving children to seniors. The services include many types of living and care options, including addiction and substance abuse treatment, rehabilitation after an injury or disease, employment for persons with a disability, home and community services, and retirement living. Given the diverse needs of the various populations, programs that CARF accredits are organized into standards manuals—one for each area of accreditation.
