Located in Taikang County, Zhoukou of Henan Province, Zhoukou Yongxing Hospital is a private Grade-2 Level-B comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and preventive healthcare. It is one of the key projects of Zhoukou. Established in March 2015, the hospital covers an area of 160,000m2, and has 1,600 beds including 190 beds for rehabilitation. Currently, the hospital has more than 800 employees, and 22 specialized departments including key medical departments like cardiac intervention center, cancer treatment center, minimally invasive surgery center, stroke center and ICU.
The Rehabilitation Medicine Department of Yongxing Hospital consists of 57 cross-disciplinary members, and is one of the departments featuring largest scale, most comprehensive equipment and highest technical strength in the county. Through interdisciplinary team work and based on the concept of patient orientation, the hospital customizes goal-centered rehabilitation plan for each person served and helps them return to life.
Located in a county of the middle part of China and in spite of the geographical, social and cultural limitations, the Rehabilitation Medicine Department of Yongxing Hospital has been persistent in providing locals of 1.4 million with “quality while affordable medical service” by improving its medical technologies, clinical service ability and hospital management.

Internal management improvement
By establishing systems and working committee, and routine training and supervision, Yongxing Hospital has set up quality framework for constant improvement under CARF accreditation. The simplified administrative flow and complete report system enable the leadership be clearly informed of faithful reflection from the first-line workers and solidify internal management by finding and solving problems.
1. establish hospital risk management system, follow up daily administrative and clinical risks and solutions and cultivate a team familiar with operation risk management;
2. establish and perfect hospital finance system including financial budgeting, account examination and annual financial analysis;
3. set quality control indicators for each administrative department, and list key works for seasonal service quality check to ensure quality control;
4. expand input from patients to employees and other stakeholders, standardize frequency and mechanisms of various satisfaction survey.
Rehabilitation setting reconstruction
Humanistic care and back-to-life elements
are essential for rehabilitation. Through CARF accreditation, routine work and
accessible service system are highly integrated:
1. For setting and buildings, the signage
system has been perfected that parking lots for the disabled are provided, ramp
height is reduced and more handrails are set;
2. For internal infrastructure, equip the
ward washroom with handrail and bath chair, re-decorate public bathhouse, open
patient activity room, provide TV and Wifi to improve patient independency
while caring the recreational demands from patients and their families;
Rehablitation management and service
OKEWAY-Analepsis Platform provides Yongxing Hospital with periodic on-site management consulting, accreditation service and technical training, and helps the Rehab Department realize first-rank rehabilitation technologies, highly collaborative IDT service, and constantly improved department management:
1. Establish rehabilitation service standards and follow up rehabilitation outcome. Based on the actual conditions of the department, determine service scope, admission and discharge and referral standard for specialized development of the department; based on fixed-term program outcome and service interruption analysis, find directions and methods for further improvement;
2. Establish rehabilitation cooperation and quality control.
